Musk Confirms Starlink Restrictions Impacting Ukraine's Military Operations Elon Musk admitted that SpaceX throttled Starlink services in Ukraine, disrupting military operations reliant on the satellite internet. The restrictions, which limited speeds for military drones, were reportedly imposed without warning, leading to significant operational challenges for Ukrainian forces. Following a week of service disruptions, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced that access to Starlink and its military variant, Starshield, has been restored to normal speeds. Musk claimed the throttling was due to violations of service terms by the Ukrainian military, emphasizing that Starlink is crucial for Ukraine's defense against Russia. Tensions have risen between Ukraine and the U.S. government amid allegations of coordination between Musk and the Trump administration regarding the service limits. The situation has prompted discussions about the reliance on private companies for military communications and the implications for U.S. foreign policy. 24 sources 61
