Russian President Vladimir Putin called the statement by Estonian Defense Minister Martin Herem the possibility of a preemptive strike on Russia a political clowning. The Russian leader told reporters this on the sidelines of the United Cultures Forum.

So he commented on Herem's words that his country had better attack the Russia, without waiting for an attack from its side.

" Look, this is the case, you know, when we jokingly say " the circus left, but the clowns stayed ". This is political clowning. The population of Estonia is, in my opinion, 1,300,000 people with a little. The Russian army, only the Russian army, I'm not talking the population of the Russian Federation — 1,535,000. And three million three hundred are Estonian citizens. And these are babies, these are elderly people. It is clear that this is complete nonsense, complete nonsense," Putin said.

Unfortunately, such people have to deal with today in Western Europe, the Russian leader complained.

As reported by EADaily , Kiev should understand that no provocations will improve its situation. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the Forum of United Cultures by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
