WASHINGTON (TNND) — Florida GOP Rep. Randy Fine said that an alleged Iranian state actor targeted him in a phishing scheme that was disguised as an interview for television.

Fine said his staffer interacted with the message and then noticed that the messages didn’t work.

Fine said that the purpose of the scheme was to gain access to his personal Google account.

In February, the U.S. and Israel conducted joint drone strikes on Iran due to concerns that the country had missiles.

Iran retaliated, resulting in other countries being hit. Some U.S. soldiers have been killed and many have been injured.

It has been reported that boots on the ground may take place in Iran. President Donald Trump is expected to address the nation at 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday.

Trump claimed that the new president of Iran asked the U.S. for a ceasefire.

“Iran’s New Regime President, much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a CEASEFIRE!” he wrote on TRUTH Social. “We will consider when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear. Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!”
