Back Classaction Green Clinic Cyber Incident Reported; Data Exposure Possible
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the reports of a Green Clinic cyberattack.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who are concerned their information may have been put at risk , including current and former Green Clinic patients and staff.
Green Clinic Security Incident: What Happened?
Green Clinic, a multispecialty healthcare group in Northern Louisiana owned by Allegiance Health Management, has reported a cybersecurity incident that disrupted patient care and may have involved unauthorized access to sensitive data.
An October 8, 2026 notice posted to its website states that Green Clinic identified a cybersecurity incident affecting its computer systems and network days prior, on October 2. After suspending its electronic and network-related operations, the healthcare group later learned that it was the victim of a ransomware attack conducted by hacker group Wallstreet.
During the attack, files and systems throughout Green Clinic's network were encrypted, which left staff without access to the electronic systems relied upon during normal operations, including access to patients' electronic medical records.
The Lincoln Parish Journal, a local news outlet covering incidents in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana and the surrounding communities, claimed in an October 7 article to have spoken with individuals affiliated with the practice. According to these anonymous sources, the affected electronic medical records contain patients' medical histories, insurance information, credit card information and other sensitive data. The sources further alleged that the clinic has no available backups of the records and may not be able to recover the supposedly compromised information.
Green Clinic has announced that its investigation into the incident is still underway, and it cannot at this time provide any assurances the potential breach's scope or impact. Should the investigation reveal that personal or protected health information was compromised in the Green Clinic data breach, the company will notify affected individuals.
Green Clinic is set to implement a new system and resume broader patient care on October 14.
If you're affiliated with Green Clinic and suspect your information could have been put at risk, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, lost time, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Green Clinic to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
