Hitachi Solutions and Radware Team Up to Offer AI

Thefastmode • November 14, 2025

Hitachi Solutions and Radware announced the parties will start offering Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Service, a cloud-based solution specialized in application and DDoS protection.

Since late 2024, Japan has seen a surge in impactful DDoS attacks, prompting government warnings. Radware Cloud Application Protection Service detects zero-day web DDoS attacks that target applications and APIs and are difficult to defend against.

AI-based algorithms generate defense signatures within seconds and automatically adjust thresholds as the attack morphs to distinguish between normal and abnormal traffic, optimizing security policies and reducing operational burden without blocking legitimate traffic. This helps businesses avoid service disruptions and maintain continuity.

Key Features of Radware Cloud Application Protection Service

Supports various DDoS attacks including network, web application, volumetric, zero-day, and encrypted traffic attacks.

Leverages AI-based algorithms to detect attacks and generates signatures within seconds to accurately block them, enabling rapid defense and preventing service outages.

The solution automatically adjusts thresholds and optimizes security policies, reducing operational burden during incidents.

Radware provides regular support for policy reviews, lowering operational load during normal times.

Utilizes Radware’s 24 global cloud security centers to mitigate attacks close to their origin, enabling load balancing and minimizing latency.

In addition to this service, Hitachi Solutions will offer comprehensive support through its Cyber Resilience Solutions, including consulting by white-hat hackers, incident response, and operations.

Hitachi Solutions will also promote Radware’s hardware-based DDoS protection platforms, DefensePro X. These efforts aim to provide end-to-end support from prevention to recovery against advanced threats like DDoS attacks.

According to Radware’s 2025 Global Threat Analysis Report, DDoS attacks increased by 550% compared to 2023. Attacks are becoming more diverse, sophisticated, and stealthy, including web DDoS targeting application layers and encrypted traffic.

In Japan, large-scale attacks in late 2024 caused serious disruptions, including transportation system outages. Strengthening cyber business continuity plans is essential, and real-time detection and automated defense are critical.

Hitachi Solutions is launching the Cloud Application Protection Service to address these needs, enhancing cyber resilience through its lineup of Cyber Resilience Solutions.
