Back Claimdepot Hunter Associates Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers and Financial Information
Hunter Associates , an independent, employee-owned wealth management firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, reported a data breach that exposed sensitive personal and financial information belonging to its clients.
The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation . Hunter Associates began notifying affected individuals on June 15, 2026.
The breach took place on April 22, 2026. The company did not detect the incident until more than five weeks later on May 29, 2026.
The types of personal information exposed in the breach included Social Security numbers and financial account information.
Hunter Associates' response to the breach
