Back En.Sedaily Korean Air Force Joins U.S. Space Force War Game for First Time
The Republic of Korea Air Force said on the 2nd that it is taking part for the first time in "Partner to Win," a war game hosted by the U.S. Space Force in Orlando, Florida, from the 2nd through the 6th.
Partner to Win is an international space war game launched this year by the U.S. Space Force to strengthen cooperation with allies and partner nations in policy, strategy and operations, and to improve readiness for combined space operations. Six countries took part, including South Korea, the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Brazil.
The exercise is being conducted as a tabletop exercise (TTX) built around complex and varied hypothetical crises in space. Delegations from each country are discussing response options to deter and manage such crises, along with ways to coordinate among nations.
"Taking part in this war game will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen space cooperation with allies and partner nations in line with the changing environment for space operations," said Col. Kim Si-mon, head of the Space Center at Air Force Headquarters.
