Dhaka: Mutual Trust Bank PLC emerged as the Champion of the “National Cyber Drill 2026,” showcasing its strong cyber security capabilities and digital resilience. Organized by the National Cyber Security Agency under the ICT Division, the nationwide exercise brought together 68 teams from banks, financial institutions, and other Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) organizations. MTB’s IT Security team, “CyberSavvy,” secured the top position with 5,750 points after competing in challenges covering risk auditing, cryptography, networking, web security, digital forensics, incident response, and threat analysis. Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC team “DBBL Cyber Squad” finished as runner-up, while Community Bank Bangladesh PLC team “CBBL Warrior” secured third place. The drill was conducted under the guidance of Dr Md Toiyobur Rahman. Speaking at the event, Md Hossain Bin Amin highlighted the importance of strengthening national cyber defense preparedness against emerging threats. MTB said, the achievement reflects its continued commitment to technological advancement and cybersecurity excellence in Bangladesh’s banking sector.
