The National Association on Drug Abuse Programs (NADAP) has reported a data breach potentially affecting personal and health information of clients, employees, and others connected to the organization.
A notice posted to NADAP’s website states that suspicious activity was first identified around January 10, 2026. According to a press release from NYC Health + Hospitals , further investigation revealed that unauthorized access occurred on or around November 26, 2025. By January 27, 2026, it was determined that affected data might include names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, health insurance information, and other health and financial information. NADAP has since enhanced security measures and notified relevant authorities.
NYC Health + Hospitals revealed that 5,086 of its patients were affected in the NADAP data breach, with compromised data including names, birth dates, addresses, Medicaid numbers, Social Security numbers, and clinical information. NADAP is a key partner in NYC Health + Hospitals' Lead Health program.
Across seven locations in NYC and Long Island, NADAP supports over 35,000 underserved New Yorkers annually with access to healthcare, employment, and community support.
