Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Nissan data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident , including those who received notice of the Nissan data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Automobile company Nissan North America has reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to its Oracle PeopleSoft software, which is used to manage employee information.
A sample notification letter sent to current and former Nissan employees (pictured below) states that Nissan was notified that it was among a group of companies targeted in a cyberattack on Oracle PeopleSoft. An investigation into the Nissan North America data breach is still underway, but Nissan believes that information; banking information; Social Security, Social Insurance, and National Identification numbers; financial and tax data; and dependent and beneficiary information may have been accessed.
As the investigation progresses, those whose information is found to have been exposed in the Nissan data breach will be notified.
