The parties also agreed on a work program for 2027–2030, which envisages modernizing the nuclear power plant’s main systems to enable its operation to continue until 2036.

Rosatom has submitted a specific proposal to the Armenian government to construct a nuclear power unit with a capacity of at least 1 gigawatt (GW). Rosatom State Corporation Director General Alexey Likhachev disclosed the proposal during a conversation with journalists.
