Symbiosis on X: "Symbiosis experienced a security incident. At approximately 04:28 UTC on Sep 11, 2026, attacker exploited a vulnerability in Bitcoin Bridge. BTC routes have been halted. Other routes remain operational and safe.
• Only the Bitcoin Bridge was affected, and it is isolated from our other systems. All other routes: EVM chains, TRON, TON and the rest are unaffected and operating normally, as are Octopools and all other components.
• The team has recovered approximately 15 BTC, now secured on a team-controlled multisig.
• We have contacted the attacker with a white-hat bounty offer of 20% of the funds, open until Sep 13 2026. After that window, the same 20% will be offered to anyone providing information that leads to recovery.
• Final accounting is in progress. We will publish confirmed figures in our update.
• Liquidity providers: we are contacting every affected LP directly. We are building a compensation framework and will publish the criteria shortly.
• Our relayer group continues to operate and secure the network.
Thank you to the security researchers who moved fast with us. We have been building Symbiosis for five years, and we are confident we will come through this. Thank you all for the support — we will keep posting updates as they come."
