The Cybersecurity Centre launches Sharjah's first cyber strategy

The strategy was launched in the presence of Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, and several heads and directors of government departments in the emirate.

Al Maeeini said the strategy marks an important step in defining Sharjah’s ambitions in cybersecurity and in strengthening confidence in its digital environment.

She said the strategy will be translated into implementation plans and initiatives, centred on five key pillars: governance, cyber resilience, critical infrastructure protection, partnerships and cooperation, and capability development.

These pillars aim to ensure service continuity, safeguard data and digital assets, and support the secure and responsible adoption of emerging and advanced technologies.

Al Maeeini said the strategy establishes a unified framework to strengthen the readiness of government entities across Sharjah and their capacity to proactively respond to cyber threats.

She added that it will also support the development of cybersecurity capabilities and partnerships, thereby contributing to trusted and sustainable digital transformation across the emirate.
