TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) – The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported a security incident involving a tanker near Yemen's island of Socotra, after a small boat carrying five people approached the vessel 181 km north of the island.
According to the report, a ship reported that a small boat with five passengers had approached it.
The tanker’s armed security team fired warning shots, forcing the boat to turn away.
The UK Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO)did not release further details the incident.
