President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted new decisions of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) imposing sanctions on individuals and companies involved in ballistic missile production, schemes to circumvent financial restrictions, and collaboration in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Personal sanctions have been imposed on 70 key specialists in russia’s defence and chemical industries, including engineers, technologists, and production managers involved in the assembly of Iskander-M and Zircon ballistic missiles.
The sanctions also target 28 individuals and 27 legal entities that help russia circumvent financial restrictions, including cryptocurrency exchange operators, crypto exchange services, and executives of the A7 shadow banking network.
In addition, restrictions have been imposed on 10 individuals, 21 legal entities, and two vessels that support the aggressor state in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. These include collaborators, telecommunications and television companies, and resource extraction enterprises.
The sanctions aim to ensure individual accountability for everyone involved in producing weapons used to strike Ukraine and to cut off the channels financing russia’s war.
