Waterford Hotel Group Security Incident: What Happened?
Waterford Hotel Group, a Connecticut-based hospitality management company operating in 12 states, has reported a data breach that may have affected sensitive information.
According to a notice posted to its website , Waterford and its corporate parent, LMD Holding Company, identified suspicious activity within certain computer systems on May 5, 2026. Following an investigation with third-party forensic specialists, Waterford determined that an unknown actor gained access to computer systems and was able to view or download some data.
A review of the impacted information revealed that the Waterford Hotel Group data breach may have exposed names, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, taxpayer IDs, financial account information, payment card information, usernames and passwords, medical information and health insurance information.
The incident was also reported to the Vermont Attorney General's Office on September 25, 2026.
