AhnLab has appointed Yoji Tsubaki as the new head of its Japan subsidiary and launched a significant initiative to enhance integrated IT and OT security for local manufacturers. This effort coincided with their participation in the Security Days Fall 2026 Tokyo exhibition from October 21 to 23, where they showcased their cyber-physical systems (CPS) security solutions. The focus was on preventing ransomware attacks that could disrupt manufacturing operations, a growing concern in Japan due to recent cyberattacks. AhnLab highlighted its OT network security solution, AhnLab XTD, which detects threats within OT networks and those infiltrating from IT networks. The company also presented its OT endpoint security solution, AhnLab EPS, designed for legacy systems. Tsubaki emphasized the high engagement of Japanese customers with AI-based security and CPS security for operational stability. This strategic move aims to strengthen AhnLab's market position in Japan amidst increasing cybersecurity threats.
