This increase is driven by a surge in AI-related cyber threats, with 89% of CISOs reporting AI-enabled attacks on their organizations. A notable 35% of these attacks had significant operational or financial impacts. Additionally, 80% of organizations are relying on incomplete AI threat intelligence, complicating their ability to identify AI-powered phishing attacks. The report also highlights that 59% of respondents plan to implement AI-powered security operations center triage this year. Meanwhile, over 75% of social engineering breaches show signs of AI-assisted content, with AI-enabled attack workflows operating up to 47 times faster than traditional methods. The gap between AI adoption and security controls is widening, as only 27% of CISOs have mapped their AI controls to established security frameworks.
