AI Vulnerability Scoring System (AIVSS) Introduced to Enhance Security Assessments

A new AI Vulnerability Scoring System (AIVSS) has been announced to address the limitations of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) in evaluating vulnerabilities in modern AI technologies. Introduced by AI security expert Ken Huang at the OWASP Global AppSec conference on November 7, 2025, the AIVSS aims to provide a more effective framework for assessing the severity of vulnerabilities in agentic AI systems.
