Airtel Launches AI to Combat OTP-Related Banking Fraud

Airtel has introduced an AI-powered fraud alert system aimed at preventing One-Time-Password (OTP)-related banking fraud. This system operates at the telecom network layer, detecting potentially risky incoming calls during which bank OTPs are triggered, and issues real-time alerts to customers before OTP delivery. The initiative is designed to protect customers from social engineering scams that exploit OTP urgency.
