Analysis of Python Packages Used in Surveillance Malware

Two analyses were published detailing Python packages that can be repurposed for surveillance and data collection malware. The focus of both articles is on how legitimate libraries are misused for keylogging, screen capture, and other monitoring activities, along with practical mitigations for developers and defenders. The findings highlight the ease with which these packages can be combined by attackers to create comprehensive surveillance tools.
