Isaac Oliveira Scott, a 29-year-old from Victoria, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and firearms offences linked to a dark-web trafficking network. The investigation, which lasted four years, revealed that Scott was involved in distributing counterfeit fentanyl pills across Canada using cryptocurrency and Canada Post. He was extradited from Germany after being arrested following a Canada-wide warrant and an Interpol Red Notice. Scott had initially been arrested in February 2024 but left Canada in May 2025 before charges were laid. The RCMP described the evidence against him as considerable. A second suspect, Treshaun Thompson, remains missing and is wanted on multiple drug-related charges.
