These messages masquerade as legitimate security alerts, claiming unauthorized changes to account settings or suspicious activity. The texts often contain shortened malicious links, pressuring recipients to act quickly without verifying the authenticity of the message. Binance emphasized that it will never request users to click links in text messages for account verification. Users are advised to verify links before clicking, enable the Withdrawal Address Whitelist, and activate the Anti-Phishing Code feature.
