Cloudflare has introduced new visibility tools for post-quantum (PQ) cryptography in its Application Security and Logs products, allowing customers to inspect and analyze the adoption of PQ TLS 1.3 encryption. The company aims for full post-quantum security by 2029 and has already implemented PQ encryption across many products. The new features provide granular telemetry for customers to audit their cryptographic posture and identify gaps. Cloudflare's Radar tool indicates that 70% of browser-generated traffic is currently protected with post-quantum encryption, while only 15% of origins connected to Cloudflare are using it. The company is also developing an internal tool named CryptoLabe to assist in its migration to post-quantum cryptography. These developments are part of Cloudflare's broader strategy to ensure its infrastructure is future-proof against quantum threats.
