Cork Cyber has expanded its automated vulnerability remediation capabilities for managed service providers (MSPs), reporting over 50,000 remediation runs across approximately 250,000 devices since the technology's launch in September 2026. The platform can automatically resolve 64% of open software vulnerabilities, saving MSP partners around 5,100 technician hours. This addresses the challenge MSPs face in balancing customer security with developing new services, particularly in the context of third-party software vulnerabilities. Verizon's 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report indicates that exploited vulnerabilities account for 31% of breaches. Cork's analysis found that one in nine open software vulnerabilities had already been exploited. The automation allows critical vulnerabilities to be resolved within hours, a significant improvement over the typical 1.5 to two months required by MSPs. This shift aims to free up technician time for higher-value tasks, reducing the need for expanding technical teams.
