On May 14, 2026, CYBER.ORG announced partnerships with CompTIA, Intel, and ISACA to enhance cybersecurity and AI training in K-12 education across the U.S. This initiative aims to address a critical shortage of over 700,000 cybersecurity roles in the U.S. and 4.8 million globally. Concurrently, the College Board launched a statewide initiative in Indiana to expand access to AP Cybersecurity courses, linking K-12 education with higher education and military pathways. Indiana aims to increase the number of high schools offering cybersecurity courses from 69 to 200, reaching approximately 4,000 students over three years. Both initiatives focus on equipping students with essential skills for high-demand careers in cybersecurity and AI, addressing the urgent need for skilled professionals in these fields.
