In the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year, approximately 12,000 individuals on the Isle of Man were impacted by personal data breaches, according to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner (ICO). This represents a significant increase from earlier quarters, where around 2,200 and 800 individuals were affected in the second and first quarters, respectively. The rise in affected individuals is attributed to large-scale cyber incidents despite a decrease in the number of reported breaches.
