The research analyzed over 256,000 posts related to DDoS attacks and identified 148 active threat actors since 2024. Three main DDoS attack models were identified: intermediary attacks, DDoS-as-a-Service, and internal infrastructure attacks. The report indicates that 65% of actors advertise on cybercrime forums, while 35% use platforms like Telegram and Discord. DDoS activity primarily targets network and application layers, with 74% of actors focusing on L4 techniques, such as TCP and DNS flood attacks.
