Delhi Police Recovers Rs 3.59 Lakh for Cyber Fraud Victims

The Delhi Police has restored Rs 3.59 lakh to victims of online financial fraud via the Money Restoration Module (MRM), a system developed by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). This recovery involved 34 cases after verification and documentation processes. A total of 70 requests were processed under the MRM, which allows for the restoration of amounts up to Rs 50,000 in eligible cases where banks have blocked suspicious transactions. Victims must visit police stations with necessary documents for verification. However, 22 cases could not be processed due to a lack of response from complainants.
