DOF Group has secured a substantial contract from Norway's transmission system operator, Statnett, for the replacement of high-voltage subsea power cables in Ofotfjorden. The contract, valued between $25 million and $50 million, involves the partial removal of ageing cables and the installation of four new 170 kV submarine cables bundled with fiber optic lines. The project will take place between Lødingen and Barøya, with cable laying occurring at depths ranging from 10 to 450 meters. Preparatory work will commence immediately and continue throughout 2026, with main execution scheduled for May to September 2027, lasting approximately 40 days. DOF's CEO expressed pride in being entrusted with this critical infrastructure project, emphasizing the company's strengths in engineering and subsea execution.
