Estonia's Cybersecurity Cluster Showcased at Baku Forum

During the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum in Baku, Doris Põld, CEO of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications, highlighted Estonia's dedicated cybersecurity cluster. This cluster integrates companies with specialized cybersecurity expertise, fostering collaboration and innovation. Põld emphasized the importance of international cooperation, particularly in light of Estonia's experience with a large-scale cyberattack in 2007. She noted that cybersecurity has become a core element of Estonia's development, contributing to its ranking as third in the Global Cybersecurity Index. The digital technology sector employs around 39,000 people and generates an annual turnover of €12 billion, with 60% coming from exports. Põld stated that despite progress, further efforts are needed to enhance Estonia's cyber resilience.
