EU fines X €120M for Digital Services Act violations

The European Union has fined Elon Musk's social media platform X €120 million for violating transparency rules under the Digital Services Act (DSA). The fine addresses issues such as the deceptive blue checkmark verification system, which allowed users to purchase verification, misleading users about authenticity. European Commission Vice President Henna Virkkunen stated that such practices have no place in the EU.
