On September 28, 2026, NVision Quantum Technologies announced the deployment of the first two POLARIS systems as part of the EU-funded Q-AID project. These systems were installed at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona and the University of Antwerp. The €8.3 million initiative aims to create a shared platform for quantum-enhanced metabolic imaging across Europe. The project involves collaboration among partners from seven countries to standardize workflows and develop a European supply chain for critical materials. This deployment marks a significant milestone in transitioning from planning to implementation, enhancing the ability to visualize metabolic processes that conventional MRI struggles to detect.
