The FBI has issued a warning about a rise in phishing attacks involving fake versions of the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) website. Cybercriminals are creating these spoofed sites to collect personal and financial information from victims, while also impersonating IC3 officials to solicit sensitive data and fees. Over 100 impersonation cases were reported between December 2023 and February 2025.
