Cybersecurity company Guardz has appointed Jesse Gilles as channel partner manager for Australia and New Zealand. Gilles, previously with Pax8, will focus on supporting managed service providers (MSPs) and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). He aims to enhance cybersecurity strategies, moving beyond basic antivirus to advanced solutions like endpoint detection and identity protection. Gilles emphasizes the importance of frameworks such as Australia's Essential Eight and SMB1001 in evolving MSP security practices. He believes that many MSPs are now seeking to implement comprehensive security measures to address increasing threats and skills shortages. Gilles will report to Danni Munro, Guardz's A/NZ director of channel sales, and will combine account management with technical support for partners.
