The Supreme Court of India has issued a notice regarding a plea from Vitraya Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for a CBI investigation into a significant cyber attack and data breach that compromised the personal and medical data of approximately 200,000 Indians across six states. The breach allegedly involved coordinated cyber intrusions by companies associated with Bessemer Venture Partners, including Remedinet Technologies and Medi Assist. Senior Advocate K. Parameshwar, representing Vitraya Technologies, highlighted that the FIR was only registered after a six-month delay and was filed against unknown persons, raising concerns about the investigation's integrity. The compromised data includes sensitive information such as Aadhaar details and medical records, which were reportedly transferred to a server in Singapore. The petitioner argues that the authorities have failed to conduct a thorough investigation despite being provided with technical evidence.
