India has become a primary target for ransomware attacks in the Asia-Pacific region, as reported by Cyble Inc.’s APAC Threat Landscape Report 2025. The report indicated a total of 456 ransomware attacks and 1,586 data breaches across APAC, with Pakistan-aligned threat groups making approximately 1.5 million intrusion attempts on Indian systems.
