Major Japanese securities companies are adopting passkey authentication systems that utilize biometrics, including fingerprints and facial recognition, to improve account security. A survey by The Yomiuri Shimbun revealed that six out of ten surveyed firms have already implemented these systems, while the remaining four plan to do so by spring 2026.
