Karimnagar has achieved 100% integration of the Real-Time Feeder Monitoring System (RTFMS) under TGNPDCL, making it the first circle in Telangana to do so. This integration includes all 82 substations, allowing real-time monitoring via the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. TGNPDCL Chairman Karnati Varun Reddy announced that the system will enhance the reliability of electricity supply and facilitate quicker identification of technical issues. The RTFMS can generate alerts for power interruptions, overloading, and voltage fluctuations, enabling field personnel to respond promptly. Currently, 1,005 substations across TGNPDCL have been integrated with SCADA through this initiative. The remaining 419 substations are expected to be integrated within the next two months. The initiative is backed by the Energy Minister and aims to improve service reliability for consumers.
