Keysight Launches SBOM Manager to Enhance Compliance with EU Cyber Resilience Act

Keysight Technologies has introduced the Keysight SBOM Manager, a solution aimed at helping organizations comply with the EU's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and other global cybersecurity mandates. The SBOM Manager streamlines the generation, management, and secure sharing of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs), which are crucial for software transparency and vulnerability management. As regulations worldwide converge on the need for manufacturers to disclose software components, this tool addresses challenges organizations face in meeting these requirements. The SBOM Manager analyzes various software components, including binary software and firmware, and correlates SBOMs with authoritative vulnerability sources. It also supports the use of Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX) to help teams focus on relevant risks. The solution aims to improve operational transparency and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle. The CRA's reporting obligations begin on September 11, 2026, with main obligations starting December 11, 2027.
