Korean Police to Block Voice Phishing Numbers in 10 Minutes

The Korean National Police Agency announced an emergency blocking system to combat voice phishing, effective November 24, 2025. This initiative, developed in collaboration with SK Telecom, KT, LG Uplus, and Samsung Electronics, aims to block fraudulent phone numbers within 10 minutes of detection. A reporting feature on Samsung smartphones has also been introduced to facilitate user reporting of suspicious calls.
