Matthew Slate Pleads Guilty to Running Dark Web Child Abuse Forums

Matthew Slate, a 36-year-old from north London, has pleaded guilty to 11 charges related to operating dark web forums dedicated to sharing child sexual abuse material. His activities as a 'global moderator' on the site Olympus occurred between April 29, 2024, and February 8, 2025, during which he oversaw the distribution of over 57,000 images. The case was heard at Wood Green Crown Court on February 19, 2026.
