NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) entered safe mode after a command error caused its solar panels to be misaligned, preventing adequate battery charging. The spacecraft was subsequently recovered after ground controllers addressed the low power condition. TESS is now back online and resuming its operations.
