Two new security tools targeting Active Directory environments have been released: ADRecon and adPEAS. ADRecon is designed for extracting and aggregating various artifacts from Active Directory, useful for security professionals and auditors. It can be run from any workstation connected to the environment, even from non-domain hosts, and requires minimal privileges. adPEAS, on the other hand, focuses on identifying misconfigurations and vulnerabilities in Active Directory, operating as a standalone tool without dependencies. It features over 40 security checks and supports multiple authentication methods. Both tools enhance the capabilities of security assessments in Active Directory environments, addressing potential vulnerabilities and improving post-exploitation analysis.
