New Haven Public Schools Targeted by Phishing Attack on Student Emails

New Haven Public Schools reported a phishing attack that sent over 10,000 fraudulent emails to students, aiming to collect personal banking information. The attack utilized at least four compromised student accounts, with more than half of the student body receiving at least one fraudulent email and approximately 1,000 emails opened. District officials confirmed the extensive scope of the phishing campaign.
