The NHS is initiating its second cohort of the Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship, set to begin in September 2026. This program aims to address the increasing demand for skilled cyber security professionals in response to rising cyber threats. Following the success of the first cohort, which started in September 2025, the new cohort will focus on existing NHS staff whose roles involve cyber security. The apprenticeship lasts 24 months and includes a mix of online learning and residential sessions. Participants will gain industry-recognized qualifications and become part of a broader NHS Cyber Security Apprenticeship Community. The program is funded through the NHS's apprenticeship levy, ensuring no cost burden on departments. Interested candidates must obtain approval from their line managers to apply.
