Johannes Kongsnes Natland, a 19-year-old from Norway, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for plotting a murder in the UK on behalf of an Iran-backed crime gang known as the Foxtrot Network. Natland was arrested in March 2025 at a hotel in Huddersfield, where police found him with two guns, ammunition, and £2,000 in cash. He had agreed to carry out the hit for €25,000 (£21,500). The court revealed that he was recruited by another teenager known as 'Generalen' and was under the control of a figure referred to as 'Agent 47'. Despite his claims of not wanting to go through with the plan, the judge emphasized that he had numerous opportunities to withdraw from the conspiracy. The Foxtrot Network is notorious for employing minors in violent crimes and has been sanctioned by both the UK and US governments for its ties to Iranian interests.
