Nozomi Networks has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing to enhance AI-driven vulnerability discovery in operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS). The initiative aims to identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited, addressing the unique cybersecurity challenges faced by critical infrastructure sectors such as energy and transportation. Project Glasswing has already identified over 10,000 high- and critical-severity vulnerabilities using Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview large language model (LLM). The U.S. government recently lifted export controls on Mythos-class models, although access remains limited to pre-vetted organizations. Nozomi's participation will focus on applying advanced AI models to improve vulnerability discovery and share insights with the cybersecurity community. The collaboration emphasizes the need for expertise in OT and IoT cybersecurity due to the long lifecycles and patching limitations of critical infrastructure systems.
