Nvidia unveiled the DSX POD at GTC Berlin, a modular AI data center designed to reduce deployment time from six months to as little as 14 days. The DSX POD is a preassembled unit that integrates computing, networking, and cooling systems into a container, allowing for rapid installation at prepared sites. This innovation is particularly aimed at expanding AI computing capacity in Europe, where it currently accounts for only 5% of global AI resources. The first units are expected to ship in early 2027. Nvidia claims the DSX platform can utilize up to 100% less cooling water due to its closed-loop systems, although some climates may require additional cooling. The company emphasizes that faster deployment enables operators to start generating revenue sooner by running AI models.
