OCR Studio has launched a neural network technology designed to detect document collages used in KYC and customer onboarding fraud. This technology identifies local visual anomalies by analyzing discrepancies in image structure, making it capable of exposing high-quality forgeries. Document collages are created by fraudsters using fragments from genuine identity documents, allowing them to bypass standard verification systems. The new system analyzes both individual fields and overall visual consistency, marking areas that may be undetectable to the human eye. Konstantin Bulatov, CTO of OCR Studio, emphasized the increasing diversity of document fraud and the need for continuous adaptation of anti-fraud systems. The technology is integrated into OCR Studio's OCR ID-verify system, which complies with data privacy regulations like GDPR, PIPL, and CCPA. Additionally, OCR Studio has introduced deepfake detection technology to further enhance its document verification capabilities.
